ETHWarsaw, the biggest web3 conference and hackathon in CEE

ETHWarsaw, the biggest web3 conference and hackathon in CEE

In April 2024, I joined the ETHWarsaw organizing team as a Marketing and Growth Manager.

The challenge:

This is the third edition of the conference and hackathon, and some companies which attended ETHWarsaw before, decided to explore other regions and markets. At the same time, the "bearish" period continues on the market and the date of the conference coincides with some similar events.

The goal:

Make the conference and the hackathon as visible and attractive as possible for attendees, sponsors and partners. Create FOMO and desire to join the event. Sell more tickets than in previous years, even with the increase in prices.

The main activities:

- Communication strategy creation
- Social media marketing on X (Twitter) and Linkedin (copywriting + design)
- Work with media partners and personalized approach to influencers
- Promotion of the conference using my personal brand on X, Linkedin, Instagram
- Regular updates during the conference and hackathon
- Post-event marketing (distribution of the news and photos, content for sponsors and partners)

Results:

- 800+ participants of the conference and 114 hackers
- Increased engagement of the community by up to 40 %
- Increased numbers of followers on social media (organically, in 3 months): Twitter 500+, Linkedin 350+
- 20 tickets were sold with my personal discount
- Some people changed their plans to attend ETHWarsaw 😉

Special activity: Interview with the ETHWarsaw co-founders

To increase brand awareness, I conducted a video interview with the ETHWarsaw co-founders, Monika and Paulina, who shared the challenges of organizing blockchain events, the Ethereum community and women's careers in tech.
My speech at ETHWarsaw 2024

Account Abstraction for better user and brand experiences

At ETHWarsaw 2024, I spoke about Ethereum's Account Abstraction technology for attracting and retaining users in web3 and beyond. The main idea was to highlight the need to build a solid brand in the web3 industry for consumer-oriented projects that want to use innovative tools like AA.
The blockchain and crypto industry faces many challenges that create barriers between products and users. Brand experience challenges appear in addition to UX challenges.
 AA can help to improve the main business features that influence the users' brand experiences:

- Onboarding the masses to web3 seamlessly;
- Paying gas fees instead of users when they mint NFTs or make transactions on the blockchain;
- Turning web3 into a more secure and user-friendly environment.

This was the second time I spoke in public on this topic; this time, there was more attention and deep questions from the audience.

Moderator of the panel about branding in web3

I moderated the panel about the importance of brand in web3. The panelists from web3 companies and marketing agencies shared their visions about brand growth, hype vs value and personal branding.
Before the panel, I created a list of 8 questions for the panelists and discussed the panel's flow with them. We discussed the panel's flow with them. This approach helped to get deeper answers from the participants and provided a high level of engagement from the audience.

Tech, Toast and Talks brunch. The ETHWarsaw side event for the community

After the conference, I organized a side event for people who wanted to discuss the topics of DeFi and mass adoption of blockchain. I created a page on Luma and got about 60 requests to join.
However, I kept the chamber atmosphere for better and deeper communication. In total, I had 15 guests from various web3 companies, who shared their experience of creating products on the blockchain, as well as discussed the news and events of the conference.
Especially for this event, I printed a limited collection of stickers for laptops, Web3 Love Mark, which I distributed to the guests.
